Polk SDA-1C Studio located in North Texas

Last Novemebr I drove 2200 miles round trip to pick up these 1Cs. I had to replace one of the MW 6511 drivers and used original as it matches the look to other MW vs the new ones from Polk. the 6511 had the magnet shifted which was that way when I got it.
They are very presentable (more so than the pictures show, see my set up in link below for same speakers) with only slight rear edge bumps/nicks.
No vinyl is torn or peeling other than the rear edges as you can see in the pics is minor.
The MW and PR have been mortited.
I do not have the orginal IC but did make one that goes with the Studios.
I did have RDO1094s in them but have removed and put back original SL2000s.
Speakers sound great and since this is local pick up you can hear them before taking them.
Price is firm at $300 as I have more than that in them. I will list them locally on CL if not sold here by next weekend.
PM for questions or schedule a time to come and listen.
If someone out of town wants them I will hold them but request you have someone you trust to come look and listen, pay me and I will hold them for a agreed time frame.

Hang in there bro'. At that price, they should move rather quickly.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

I've seen a few. A co-worker actually sold two sets of these and an
amp a couple of years ago. I've found a few others.
These are temping, but I'm getting too old to heave these things
around. Good deal for someone."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -
There have been several pairs lately (not Texas) that have been in the $500 - $600 range (asking). $400 is considered a really good price, and at $300 these are a steal. Hopefully someone will jump on these.Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p

Ron, I agree the price is right and hopefully a local Texan can take advantage. If not I will keep them. Just have no room and I need to replinish my upgrade fund.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

I thought living near Denver mine would be sold by now, maybe I will have to move back to Arlington.......

Dang Zarrdoss, I thought thought beauties sold already, went and looked and they are back up for sale.
Be patient, They are to purdy to go unsold. Remeber some people just got their taxes behind them or have not got their refund.
Use to hang at some of the local Arlington biker bars 20 years ago. North Dallas is to proper to have good bars.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

I lived down there about 2000 and used to go to deep elum? now I hear its all gone, and your hard core raido station plays the bee gees. it was just way to hot and humid for me down there, Since I auditioned these I have moved them back into the living room on main duty on my HT and really dont care if they sell or not.

I worked in a place with no ac, welding and using grinders and one day it was like 112 F and 98% humidity, I thought I was going to die! -
If they haven't sold I'm going to see if I can relay them to me in Canada. If they are sold I will talk to zarrdoss about his 2.3's and try to relay those.SDA-1C (full mods)

I loved them after about 30 seconds of listening:D Problem is that now Tracy has me itching for a little vinyl. Man they sounded great in his setup.
This is obviously with the speakers in different rooms driven by different gear, but my initial impression leans toward the SDA's...even with the SL2000's. Maybe I'm just so excited about them that I want them to sound better:p
I'll revisit this subject after more listening.
By the way, Tracy is top notch. These speakers look WAY better than the pictures show. There is hardly a scratch on them...and Tracy pointed out even the slightest blemish to make sure I knew exactly what I was getting.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
