LSi9's coming this week!

I've been told I will want to upgrade, but it hasn't happened yet! Of course, I've only had the 9's a little while, but to be honest, I think any desire to upgrade my amplification would come more out of want than need.
I try to avoid spl's that could be harmful to what's left of my hearing so when I get to the level that I can't hear my own normal speaking voice over the music, I know it's time to back off the volume knob. This usually works out to levels of around 95dB peaks at the couch according to my handy-dandy Radio Shack spl meter. That's loud enough for me. Any louder and listening fatigue becomes a factor in a short while, anyway. And I like to listen for hours at a time, when there is time!
I think my powered subs let the Onkyo amp drive the 9's to higher, cleaner levels than they could if they had to drive them full range, too. I roll of the bass to them below 160Hz, at 6dB per octave.
So overall, I'm very happy with the LSi-9 / Onkyo A9555 combo. The Onkyo can deliver a fairly substantial amount of peak power into 4 Ohms. Up around 200W, I believe. And it is good-sounding power: clean and smooth!THE MAN-CAVE 5.1 CHANNEL A/V RIG
