eCoustics.com - SVS 20-39PC+ Review
http://www.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/1/1933.html
"Yes, you can definitely spend more on a subwoofer, but you will be hard pressed to find a better sounding subwoofer at even double or triple the price. The SVS 20-39PC-Plus is truly in a class of its own. At its price point, I don't know of any sub that can compete against it."
I'm just tellin' ya.......

I dig SVS for what it is, but who the eff is E-coustics? Who the eff made the post?
A sixer says SVS runs an ad, if not already, in the near future on that website......
If it's just a good read, I can accept that at face value.
Cheers,

I'm curious as to how the new SVS box sub (SVS PB1-ISD) at $599 compares to the 20-39 PC-Plus at $825. I know it's not an apples to apples comparison - just wondering about the performance vs. price difference for each sub, forgetting the aesthetics issue for the moment.Mains: polkaudio RTi70's (bi-wired)
Center: polkaudio CSi40 (bi-wired)
Surrounds: polkaudio FXi30's
Rear Center: polkaudio CSi30
Sub: SVS 20-39 PC+
Receiver: ONKYO TX-SR600
Display: JVC HD-56G786
DVD Player: SONY DVP-CX985V
DVD Player: OPPO DV-981HD 1080p High Definition Up-Converting Universal DVD Player with HDMI
Remote: Logitech Harmony H688 -
Just a note, I hate the apples-2-apples comparison.
It's one sub vs another, sounds like apples to me.

The post was made by the CEO and Founder of eCoustics - Brian Mitchell. They are just another consumer electronic website. They review gear, etc. They do accept advertising. I have never seen an SVS ad on their site, but that doesn't mean one won't pop up in the future. He recently reviewed the HSU VTF-3 and the SVS 25-31 PCi. It's a pretty good site, as these things go.
From the site:
"Welcome to eCoustics.com - the place to find consumer electronics information. You can use this site to find product reviews, buying advice, or price comparisons on thousands of home and car electronics. Our site may look like we sell direct, but we are not an online store. We are providing you a free unbiased service to help you make an informed buying decision about home/car/portable audio, home theater, video and related accessoriess. Have fun and enjoy!""What we do in life echoes in eternity"

the reason most comershal subs dont sound as good as a svs is size. the bigger you can make a box the better the sub sounds. if you start with a good driver. also most store name brand subs you pay for all their marketing and name. dont forget the middle man.

The PB1-ISD is a virtual performance clone of a 25-31PCi equipped with a 22 Hz tune (available as a free mod from SVS).
The box costs more than the tube - hence the extra $$ compared to the 25-31PCi."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

Here's the same guy's review of the Polk RM6700 system.
All his stuff is found under "exclusive reviews" on the site."What we do in life echoes in eternity"
