While I have no expierience with it I can tell you that it uses what was then considered the best DAC chip set,the Burr Brown PCM63's,aswell it has separate digital and analog power supplies, the opamps in the analog output stage are biased into Class A and the output is directly coupled(no capacitors in the signal path). All in all a nice piece for the money.

I have the GDA-700 and it sounds damn good. Sounds butter smooth and exceptionally neutral, especially for the price.

I used to have the balanced GDA-700 years ago, It was a very nice
sounding unit. The GDA-600 should sound very similiar.:)

Great little piece for the price.

I have one and I have compared it to the 700 and I prefer the 600. A tad more analog sounding. I've tried the 600 up against many mid to higher end stand alone cdps.

    Rotel RCD-1072
    Cambridge 640 and a couple other's I can't remember

and I prefer the 600 by a fairly wide margin. It's much less analytical but still has all the detail of the above players. The depth of the sound stage is freakin' amazing.

It's a fantastic piece and the $$$ is right. Highly recommended.

Thanks H9. I'm leaning on that 600. I've heard nothing but good reviews. I'll start looking for one.
