polk audio monitor system.
i have monitor 70's in front, monitor 30's in rear and the cs2 center channel. i have them running off a yamaha htr-5760. the monitor 70's are bi-wired. i plan on getting the outlaw audio Model 7125 7-channel Amplifier to drive my system. will this amp make my speakers sound better?

Xcapri,
Is right, I've tried bi-amping M70s as well, couldn't here any difference. But when I added an Adcom 555 to power them, WOW! It really opened up a wall of sound and these aren't even Polks best line. Though I 'do' think they are underrated with regards to the lower model RTIs, I remember a Polk representative telling me that Polk 'really' got these 'right' in terms of balanced sound.
You'll be impressed at how these so-called 'efficient' speakers sound with more power.
The most noticeable difference is that they start 'imaging' like crazy. And the bass has greater weight!

Hi Stetson.
I'm not sure what the wattage is on your Yamy, but I'll assume 100w x7.
Polk recommends a max of 275w for the M70. In my opinion (I think cnh will back me up here), the M70 would thrive on 325 w.
The Outlaw 7125 amp has only 125w x 7. That is not enough power to drive the M70s to their full potential. It is also not a big enough increase in watts over the Yamy to make any dfference.
I recommend that you up the power to the M70s only and let theYamy contunue to power the remaining speakers. I recommend either a pair of Outlaw monoblocks [ http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/2200.html ] @ 200w each or the Emotiva 250w x 2 amp.

my reciever is pushin 110 x 7 and when i bi-wired the fronts, yamaha told me i'm throwing about 195 or 220 per channel so ya. i do notice a big difference in my tweeter and midbass tho. also since i biwred my m70's they are a two 2 and not a 3 way as they are mad to b. so the sound is different but good in my opinion. also i was gonna get the Outlaw amp the push 200 per channel but i dont want to blow my center channel or my rear monitor 30's because i dont have a warranty on my speakers anymore.
