What are the nuts for?To be used as a jam nut? How about the extra metal on the cable side that sticks out past the spade? For solder?

It's for spring clip connections. He means the stub after the threading F1.....is my thought.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
