My friend has a pair of Cerwin Vega's with the 15 inch subs. Are they good speakers or just another big speaker?

hate to pass judgement on a speaker I know nothing of, but Cerwin Vega is usually known for loud in your face "party" speakers, if that is what you want great, but if you are looking for a more acurate speaker I would look at other MFG's
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

Great speakers for two channel duty and very demanding music. Virtually indestructable too. Had a pair of AT-10s for years before I upgraded my front mains. They were also fantastic outdoors, used to entertain courtyard pool parties from my second floor balcony with them.

Cerwin Vega quality (imo) depends on age. Get a model number, that will tell the tale.
