 See I was right you've been adding nonsense posts all over the place to get your 25 posts to hock your gear and then leave.......what a TWIT"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. If you wanted to keep people from posting, selling and leaving put a time limit on how long you are a member and not how many posts. Say 3 or 6 months after you become a memember you can post in a members area and let the Newbies post in another area.
Anyway he followed the rules and now can post items for sale. If you don't like it then change the rules. As for me I really don't care either way.
As for the price which he is asking $250 for a 950 is not a bad price. I got my 970 of off eBay from Outlaw for $399.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t -
There are people who feel the rules don't apply to them, so they skirt around them in some wise-**** manner. The point is to be here on Polk Forum because you have a genuine interest in being here; not because you want to hock your goods, or find a dumping point for all of your for sale ads. It's why the Flea Market is a GREAT place to buy things; and it's also why we defend it aggressively.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

$250 is not that good in this market. I saw four Outlaw Audio 950 go by at less than $200 shipped. eBay and CL and Audiogon. In the past month or so.SDA 1C, SDA 2A, SDA SRS 2, CMT-340SE, Swan M200MKII, Swan D1080MKII, Behringer MS40

I've got to agree with this, I've been here for about 6-7 months or so and I'm not even ready to sell anything. But my time here has led me to peruse sites like audiogon, etc. And I've certainly learned a few things. Although there is an occasional blip here or there. You should spend some time showing that you are a good member of the 'community' or at least 'try'. Especially if you're selling something. How else can we know it's legit?

I had no idea what was referred to as "nonsense" post until I took a look. Nonsense is an understatement. This is a blatent disregard of the rules. Take this stuff elsewhere.Main Gear

Man,
You guys are tough here. I'm new too. I'm slowly figuring out how things work around here.
So far I see this place has a warm feeling in that people here try to protect each other. I can see why folks on here don't like newcomers that come, make few posts to qualify and try to sell stuff and leave.
Without being here for the past couple of weeks, I wouldn't have noticed how things work around here.
The reason why I joined this forum is try to find a bargain for cheap audio stuff. I didn't know there must be a minimum posts before a member can sell gears. If that's the case, I should start to post and maybe some day I'll need to sell gears too.
Without knowing the guy's history, maybe we should give the guy the benefit of the doubt and give them a chance. I think that's what makes this forum more inviting and has that warm feeling. -
The problem is we have had many people post 25 single comment posts (such as: "Interesting" "Nice" "Cool" "I agree", etc), then come straight to the FM, and hock their wares--never to be seen again.
Think of the Polk FM as a "members only" classified; not craigslist, not fleabay, not audiogon. Here, people are held accountable when they try to screw someone over; and you also get the sense that you're part of something bigger. That's why I keep coming back to this forum. I haven't owned a Polk speaker since 1992. 99.9% of the time, you can buy with great confidence here; and the reason is that we refuse to relent on obviously shallow guests.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
