Couple things to go

Ok, so I am moving soon and have a few things I cant take with me.
THIS IS NOT A FIRE SALE!!! I am not going to take someone's money and not send an item, nor send garbage equipment either. There are some local Polkies around, and I am sure if needed would assist in verifying anything incuding condition and shipment. Also if you're an established member I may ship first if need be, I have feedback here that predates the rating system and can provide ebay as well as audiogon feedback, and am definetly down with swapping phone numbers and any other important information. So with all of that said. I dont have alot to get rid of at this point, but a few things.
First are my main speakers, a pair of Martin Logan Sequel 2's. These have essentially (1yr old) new panels (the upgraded SL3 panels) from Martin Logan (I have the receipt from ML to go with em.), and have had the crossovers, power supply's and subs gone over with a fine tooth comb by a fella that rebuilds them. The same guy I purchased them from almost a year ago. They stand at 6ft tall and weigh in at 140lbs or so. They reproduce voice's, strings, piano and horns like you wouldn't believe. The sound they throw is really large, and not too hard to dial in. Great sounding speakers that I am only parting with because they are to big to take with us. They will NEED seperate amplification that can handle 2ohm at times, they have a nasty dip. But arent impossible to drive, Ive demo'd them with a Dynaco St-70 before, and have recently ran them off of a 38 watt tube integrated. But to be honest, they needed more. The condition I would give a 6/10 only because the backs of these from that time period used Nextel paint (or so Im told) and it has a few marks in it. But not deep scratches or anything. The fronts are a gloss black which look great.

I am asking $950 for these. Local pickup only.
This is the amp I used to power them, an Anthem MCA 20. This amp should be the definition of neutral, it will sound like whatever you feed it. And can handle almost anything other than a complete short with grace. Yes it does dim the lights and cause them to flicker when I power it on. Again only reason this is being sold is because I am moving.

Recently two have sold on audiogon for 600 and 700 in the same shape (6.5/10, its has a few nicks here and there.) so for CP I'm thinking $525 plus shipping would be fair.
Next are a set of SDA 2A's (I believe) that sound great. I bought them off of ebay a couple years ago for $200 and come to find out when I got home with them I ended up with two left channel speakers, but a quick post here and I was advised to rewire them as a right, and viola we have SDA effect in spades. They are all original and are as tight as a drum, tweeters, mids, and passive are all in great shape and work perfect. The grills are in great shape and still have the original badges, but there are a few nicks here and there so a fair rating would be 5.5/10. Only because two left's and a few marks and I do not have the Blade/Blade IC for these. I made one thats not the greatest in the world but it works and I'll throw that in.
I'm thinking $150 would be fair for these, and local pickup only.
Next are a set of Klipsch KG4's. They sound great and look pretty good. The veneer seems ok, if not a bit dry (real wood) and could probably use the hand of someone that knows how to handle wood. Looks as though they may have a bit of sun fading on the tops, but I'm assuming thats not too hard to fix, but we all know about assumptions haha. Great all around speakers for anything really.
How about $125 for these, local pickup.
Next is a Klipsch C-2 Center channel speaker. Ive owned it since new and have the original box for it so it is shippable. Really not much to say other than its a great center channel. I havent used it in about 2 years since I got out if the HT thing and more into the 2ch thing. But its in mint shape, probably 8/10 to be safe. And has always run off its own amp, which has caused me to lose the original metal jumpers. But I have a different pair on there that I wired up with good 12g wire and banana's.
$125 plus shipping.
Last is a set of Polk Monitor 5jr's. They look and sound great, grills and cabs are in good shape with but a few nicks here and there. All original.
Lets say $50 on these with local pickup.
So thats all I have left to part with. Of course any and all questions are welcome, as are any auditions.
Here is a link to some pics, and hopefully I did it right haha. Please excuse the pics of the amp, I have zero photography skills and it really looks a lot better in person.

I've had some interest in a few things. But either tonight or tomorrow I will have to list the Martins and the Anthem other places.
And I'm a bit of a deal maker, if there is something you are interested in and you feel its priced too high or you are interested in more than one thing, lets talk.

Ok so the KG's are going to Conradicles through way of the lightman express. And the 5jr's are moving into lala land with Russ.
The Anthem has some talk going on behind the scenes.
So price drop:
SDA 2's now $125, pickup. These SDA's are in good shape, and priced close to giving them away. Get your groove on folks.
Klipsch C-2 ( big huge great sounding center) is now $100 + shipping. It bested a Csi 3 to my ears, in vocal presentaion, definition and clarity. Enough that 2.3tl's couldnt swallow it up in a 5.1.

Dam! Dam! Dam! Dam! Dam! My boss and I earlier today agreed that I didn't need to drive down to Raleigh to take care of a client. It's now a lock and I am going to Chicago instead. Those SDA 2s are a steal!
-
Just an update.
In light of recent threads, I pulled one of the drivers of the SDA 2's I have. The mid driver is an MW6511, I dont know if that makes it a 2A or 2B. If anyone knows for sure, speak up. It wont change the pricing, but it may be a better deal for someone.
Also these do not have the riser built into the bottom, as Ive seen other 2A's with, so I'm really not too sure what they are haha, but they sound damn good.

hehe...thanks Dave and Russ!
KG4's have an old sentimental place in my heart. My 1st real speakers back in the day. -
Somebody needs to jump on those SDA's.
-
Got the KG4's. Thanks Dave. A little wood work and they will be good as new. The drivers look great and the sound fantastic. Peace.
-
Glad you digem Conradicles, great speakers. If they smell funny, its Russ' fault.
The 5jr's and KG4's have been sold.
SO price drop time.
Martins $900
Anthem $475
I've been as busy as one could be, but they will be listed elsewhere today. Getem while they're hot!

The Anthem is pending.
I have a fella interested in me parting out the SDA's. But per his request I will offer another 24 hours on them before they're parted out. We would both hate to see the pair gutted as they really are in great shape, but I must clear them out before I move.

Dave, my KG4 project is complete.
Light sanding, couple coats of stain/poly and...
...feels like I am back at WCU jammin' and keeping everybody in my dorm pissed off!:D
These Klipsch are the 4 ohm version and the NAD 317 pushes them nice with around 180 watts dynamic into 4 ohms.
Sorry to jack your thread. Buy his SDA's!!!
Thanks also to the lightman express.:) -
Conradicles - do your chess pieces play themselves with that setup?
BUY POE's SDA'SLudicrous gibs! -
I want some SDA's, does Lightman Express deliver to Canada.?Testing

Dave
Please, just part them out and move that stuff down the road. Since when did they become Smithsonian pieces?CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
