Yeah I did, but fortunately had parents that cared & protected me & teachers who were willing to drive me home after school to keep me safe.

My Dad would show up and threaten. Today I'd show up tire iron in hand and beat the snot out of the *itch!

If your kid doesn't go to public school you have to pay for private school AND pay school taxes for the public school.

Yes, but making sure that some basic schooling is available for those who can't pay for it (i.e public schools) benefits everyone.

An educated populace brings benefits to everyone, including those who send kids to private schools, home school, or just plain don't have kids.

PC or not PC. Who gives a crap?

This is just a one more step to the candyass-ization of this country. We're raising a bunch of kids that are going to grow up into a bunch of pansies!

Ive said it before and I still believe it - if we had to fight WWII all over again, we'd lose.

Fortunately, even a bunch of pansies can still be lead by true leaders. I believe there are still quite a few leaders around and if our country was challenged again (And I believe it will be in the next year or two) enough of us are willing to rise to the occasion and defend our freedom.

WWIII is bound to happen, and when it does, our merit will be tested.

Private school isn't much better than public, so don't kid yourself too much.
My cousin went to private school his whole life. 1 school, a girl accused him of sexual harrassment, and without any proof besides her word he was found "not guilty" but still forced to undergo "therapy" and it stayed on his record till he was 18.

Public school may offer more opportunity for things to happen, but private schools offer less ways to "blend" into the crowd and live life as yourself.

This is all my opinion of course.

I grew up in a suburb outside Bahston, and remember the 'bussing' in the 70's, where de-segregation was implemented for political correctness.
Now THAT side has gone 180* to accomodate 1 specific demographic, for the SAME friggin reason.
Maybe if THEY made up their minds, instead of acting like bi-polar blonde chix, I wouldn't loathe them so much.

I'm not sure why stupid regulations like this are introduced or inforced in schools today. I have asked a few people working in school administration why this happens. Their reply was not what I expected. They agreed with me that these regulations were nuts but that they had to do it to protect the school from being brought to court. As they explained it, only one or two parents with deep pockets that have friends that are lawyers can wipe out the school legal budget. If these parents think their child has been hurt or wronged in any way the first course of action is to go to court. They have the funds to do it and it costs much more to defend yourself or the school in court than to bring charges against the school.

Maybe changes to the court system would stop these crazy laws. Not sure how to do that. I'm just glad I have no children also.

That's just it, man. Litigation drives schools and businesses to make all kinds of crazy policy changes. How can the legal system be fixed? I recognize that many suits brought to court are legit, but there are many that don't even pass the sniff test--and whether they are legit or not, winnable or not, it's money out of pocket for the school or business, not to mention their (presumably) good name dragged through the mud in public.

Easier to outlaw high-fives than to risk that. Sad as heck.

There-in lies a good portion of the problem,or lack of will to fix the real problem. Some checks and balances need to be placed on the whole lawsuit thing. Not only for schools, but if a lady can get millions out of Mickey D's for hot coffee on her lap, something is wrong with the system.
