This is my second one of these, the first now being used at the parents' house (elderly father now addicted to his old CD's and wouldn't let me have it back:eek:). These are incredible DVD/SACD/CD players that outperform anything in their price class. I've compared the DVD picture to newer Denon players (2930, 3930) and the Pioneer is much more film-like. I little softer image but very smooth presentation. For SACD/CD/DVD-A, it's an incredible player. The reviews out there speak for themselves.
This unit has some hairline marks and swirl marks along the top bezel of the faceplate, not visible from the front. The actual front of the faceplate has some swirling in the gloss black and a 2" rub/swirl mark to the left of the display from previous shipping. All marks but the last one are invisible to a normal viewer and not noticeable in a rack except for the rub mark (visible in some of the pictures). They never bothered me, but I'm just doing full disclosure. Everything else is in superb shape with manual, remote, and power cord. Will box bomb-proof for shipping.

Buy with the Zu Gede IC's and I'll do a generous discount. PM me.

Here's more pics. I've tried to show any flaws as the camera allows.

Last set of pics. Gloss black finish on these units take notoriously bad photos. The flash makes it look worse than it is.

Nobody? Nobody looking to upgrade from an entry level SACD/CD player?

Someone should buy this. I bought one like 3 years ago for about $450 and thought it was a steal at that price! Upconversion of standard DVDs will rival even today's best, and the audio is solid as well.
One of the most pleasurable units I've owned. Totally responsive, great build quality, etc. If you hate how slow your high def players take to load, play, stop, forward, this unit would be a great addition.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850 -
