My mom isn't doing well.

She's going to die when who knows for sure?

She's got Alzheimer, Dementia, Heart issues, Lung Cancer. Doctors found the Lung Cancer this pass January. She got the Dementia early in her age (IMHO) as she had Bipolar issues for the pass 50 years or so. Anyway they wouldn't fix the lung cancer as she had the other issues also. I got a call yesterday that she wasn't breathing right, she's not talking, and now she has Hospice RN standby 24/7. She stopped eating, she not drinking anything. The nurse told me today or Monday she would pass.

Her age.... 64 and she's the baby of her other sisters.

Lung cancer just may do it, smoking 5 packs of cigarettes will do it. We told her that will kill you one day, but it was her crouch. For the record she hasn't smoked in 4 years, as she needed higher rated assist. She in an secured area that you need to get someone to get you out of the floor.

    D-Joe,

I sympathize and share your suffering. My Mom just passed away in February...final days very similar to what you describe above. She was 70...got to the point where her body started to shut down. I'm just back a week from the Memorial service that we have in my tradition a bit over a month after the end.

It was touch and go for the last 3 months...drove my younger sister who she was living with near the end into a rollercoaster of emotions. Even though it was really tough to watch. We felt good about the cessation of her suffering, my dad who was much older died this last summer...it's almost like she was 'following' him.

Know that you're not 'alone' here! All my best, if miracles can occur may one come her way!
