for sale is my rb1090 amp. i am selling to move up the chain. to what?? who the hell knows. its a sickness. amp is from the last batch made,about 5-6 years old. i have had it one year now and it sounds just wonderfull. amp is complete with box and manual. the pictures speak for themself's. offering it to polkies first for $1,000 firm and this will include shipping in the usa only!!!. Damn it Tom t why do you have to have this for sale now? i have to have to finish the bathroom befor i spend the money on more audio equipment.
My wife would have my **** if i pulled the trigger on this right now. This is the Rotel amp i want, and at a great price. i have looked and called around on this amp it is at a very good price.
I want to tell you you suck for putting this up for sale now only cause i can't do it at the moment.
I went to Listen up and had the chance to hear this amp with a set of B&W 684's , and all i can say is WOW!!
This won't last long.

thanks for all your intrest. for anyone considering the amp and wants to know the size,here it is. 17 inches wide--17 inches deep with the rubber bumbers and 9 and a half inches high. its a tall one for sure.

Some how I think the bottom shelf is the place for this amp. I'd be too afraid of it going through the nice glass shelf you have

How much clearance for heat dissipation is recommended for an amp of this size? -
my shelf can hold 260 pounds. this amp is 85 and the other one is 85,so the shelf is holding up 170 lps of amp. this amp runs very cool to the touch. even after a few hours,its not even warm to the touch. i would guess as long as it has some room in a shelf it would be fine. now my other amp,the parasound 3500,that runs hot!! cant touch after an hour

the parasound will out power the rotel in the long run if pushed to do so. the rotel is a little more refined in the middrange and upper end. smoother sounding i would say. the parasound is more up front. in a two amp system,the parasound is better for the bass and the rotel better for the top end and thats exactly how i have them. the combo is perfect. the rotel runs very cool,the parasound very hot to the touch (first 15 watts class a). to sum it up, if you want a total kick **** amp that will drive anything out there and sound good, the parasound. if you want a good amp that will drive almost anything out there and be very refined,neutral, and not get in the way of the music,the rotel

I had that Rotel amp for a while with my Carver Amazings. I really liked that amp. Yes, it weighs a ton, but its a big black box of sexy. I really liked my system with this amp in it.
