As a lifelong Bronco fan, this whole situation is nuts. I put the majority of the blame on Cutler's agent Bus Cook. This guy is a real scumbag, he's pulled this stunt before, but only with guys near retirement (Brett Favre).

I also blame Cutler, for not seeing the fact that he is a part of the team, and this past year the Broncos drafted a stud left tackle in Ryan Clady, developed a young right tackle, and drafted a stud slot receiver in Eddie Royal. He was set for 10 years.

McDaniel was a fool to try and trade for Cassel, and even worse for lying. He thinks he is Bellichek and can get away with anything. Unfortunately, you can only possibly do this if you've first won ball games as a head coach. Bronco nation won't put up with that crap, he better be a miracle worker with Chris Simms, or he'll be gone in by the time his 35th birthday arrives. Really, how many brain cells does it take to figure out that you don't screw with the #3 offense in the NFL, especially considering that they put 5 backs on IR during the year.

Bowlen claimed he fired Shanahan because he wanted control back over the team. yet he wilted in his first situation. Bowlen needs to accept the fact that he doesn't have the acumen for the job and bring in Elway to be the club president.

My money is on Chicago winning the Cutler sweepstakes, as that was his favorite team as a kid, and Lord knows they need a quarterback.

Bowlen said he was sick and tired of waiting for Cutler to get back in touch with him to even discuss the situation. IMHO--> Cutler needs to grow a pair. Toughen up, pu$$y!;)

Plenty of blame to go around on both sides. Cook I feel is the instigator and set this whole thing in motion to get Cutler a new deal, but it back fired on him. Bowlen should have told McDaniels to not even think of trading Cutler, especially a deal that involved his old team. But on the other hand would that not be a given? I mean here is a QB that passed for over 4500 yards, had no offence to speak of except his arm and three good revievers, every defense they played the last 8 weeks of the season knew exactly what Denver was going to do. And you want to trade him? Or look at offers to trade him? Pure stupidity. You always have 3 or 4 guys that are untouchable, if McDaniels was even half smart he would have squashed the idea of trading Cutler.

My question is this....you think Shanahan is laughing right now? You think Jerry Jones is not highly interested in trading for Cutler to get Mike to take the head coaching job next year? That is the scenerio I see unfolding.

Cutler and his agent may not have handled it well, but the whole thing started with that **** trying to bring in Cassel and then lying about it.

Great job Denver, way to find a class act coach...

this is awesome.. lmao. Cutler could have been really great in Denver with marshall and royal over the new decade, I was already tired of seeing him twice a year. He is a pretty big cry baby though..

DING DING DING....we have a winner!

The guy had not even unpacked the stuff for his office and he was on the phone trying to replace a Pro Bowl QB.

Then he decides to play hardball by letting everyone know "who is charge" and not doing anything to appease Cutler.

Did Cutler have a role in this...sure he did. But in the end, right now Denver needs him more than he needs them. He will go somewhere else and make the big money with a team that actually WANTS HIM.

If I was doing an excellent job for my company and found out my NEW boss wanted to replace me with one of his former employees...I would be gone in a heartbeat if I knew there were other options out there that would pay me as much or MORE to do the same thing. Way to go Jay...more power to you!

I really don't see the Broncos club as the bad guys here.
Cutler is a whiny brat that seems to think it's all about him. I think this organization is one of the best and most respected in the NFL.
Pat Bowlen is an owner that ANY head coach would want to work for.
I see teams talking trade all the time. Doesn't mean it's going to happen.
The coach has to consider the overall team first.(of course you can argue that point here since McDaniel brought in scrub QB Chris Simms).
Cutler's heart was never with Denver if he is going to jump ship at the first hint of raining on his little parade.
Good riddance and let's see how well we can trade up. Prima Donna players are always going to be ready to stir the ****.Players like Terrell Owens,Ocho Zilcho
are never happy unless it is all about them and a cohesive team really doesn't need that.

My friends and I always had a running joke that Cutler was the first Emo quarterback in the NFL (mostly due to his looks). Not taking any sides... but in this regard, this story has me in stitches.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Maybe Cutler can join T.O. in Buffalo.
    hahahahaha

As a Bills Fan, and a Jay Cutler fan - he was my fantasy QB last year, I am quite disappointed in the circus this season appears to be.

LOL!!!! I set myself up for that one.:D I use to be big into football years ago, but once I had children all my single football buddies dropped off the face of the planet. I tried getting back into it but lost interest. Switched to a sport I consider to be awesome, UFC (more sweaty dudes, lol). Guess I am going to win the sweaty dude contest.

The Denver Post online has it that Cutler was traded to Da Bears for this years first pick (#18), next years 1st, and 3rd, plus Kyle Orton.

Just as I predicted in #2, looks like I used up my correct lotto numbers chance on this prediction instead!

Denver will receive Chicago's first- and third-round pick in this year's draft, and Chicago's first-round pick in 2010, along with Orton. The Bears get Cutler and the Broncos' fifth-round pick this year.

I'd say they gave up way to much!

Jay Cutler is the man! He'll be back on top in no time.

As for the Bronco's Jay Cutler, a lot of people in the press blame Cutler saying he should be tougher. The way I see it, you dedicate yourself to a job and are doing your best and then you find out your boss was trying to get rid of you. Regardless if he apologizes or not its hard to put your heart into it when you know your boss doesnt really want you there or that he would dump you in a second as soon as something better came along. I say F McDaniels and best of luck to Cutler.

I really hope my beloved Titans pick him up. Collins is doing a good job and all but at best he's got 3 more good years left in the league. We have a very young team and need a QB that can grow with them.

Well, looks like The Bears finally got themselves a quarterback. Even though the rest of the offense sucks more wind than a Hoover. Shame for Denver too 'cause they have no QB now and a pro-bowl level line up on the offensive side of the ball.

    Posted a few days ago:

While Jay Cutler finishes fuming over the disrespect the Broncos showed him during the off-season, he took some time last night to decompress at Spike's UFC Fight Night in Nashville. What better way to blow off some pent-up aggression than to watch grown men beat the crap out of each other in a octagon-shaped prison? I bet "Rampage" Jackson gave him some sound advice on how to deal with his emotional upheaval. For instance, don't drive your truck on the wrong side of the street, act all crazy and get yourself arrested.

That's not acceptable? I thought it was just fine to do that as long as your truck didn't have a gigantic, fiberglass embossing of YOUR FACE on the hood and YOUR NAME in 3 foot high letters down the sides.

It will be interesting next year to watch Orten play with a bunch of pro-bowl caliber weapons and one of the best lines in football while Cutler is stuck behind one of the worst O-lines in football throwing to a couple of converted defensive backs. Of course Cutler has proved that he is pretty good throwing to db's, so maybe it will work out....

I will LMAO when Orten has a better year than Cuttles.

Well, from what I've heard, Urlacher and some of the other bears are kind of miffed that Orton is gone and aren't too thrilled with Jay's attitude. If you start readin what Champ, Rod Smith, and BMarsh are saying, they've been over having Jay as a QB for a while.

As much as I liked Jay's talent and potential, I think I would take a lesser talent that can lead and be a true voice in the locker room with a great O-line a receivers over a guy that has all the talent in the world but is generally weird and thin skinned with no O-line and questionable wideouts.

Of course now the Bears have the second best QB in the conference so that worked for them...
