Has anyone refinished polk rti speakers? Is it even possible. Mine are rti150's and csi5 in black but Im wanting actual woodgrain cherry or rosenut look. ANy help would be appreciated. Probably alot of work. It would be nice if I could just sand them down and stain them but doubt that is possible. Help please :)

I am getting ready to refinish RT1000p and CS400 this summer.

Will be removing all the veneering/vinyl off and putting fresh birch veneer on them. Definitely sounds like a lot of work (disassembling speakers, prepping them, attaching veneer, staining, polishing, putting back together, etc.)

Birch and cherry grain are very similar. Just do like ViperZ with birch and put a cherry stain on it.
