So, are they gonna kill Jack?

Those of you who watch 24 and caught the episode last night, what do you think?
I don't see them creating a cure for that disease in the next few hours, so I only see three possible scenarios where he lives:
1 - They find an antidote that already exists that they didn't know about - you'd think if something like this existed the CDC would know about it - I'll rate this highly unlikely.
2 - The test was a false positive - Given that nobody has even hinted at the reliability of the tests, I'd also rate this highly unlikely.
3 - The disease is one of those that only has a 95% mortality rate or something like that, and jack will fall into that 5% or whatever - This is probably the most plausible of the three, but you'd think if that was a possibility it would have been mentioned somewhere, especially to Jack. Given that, I'd still rate this unlikely, but more likely than the other two.
If they're going to kill jack off, I'd much rather see him go out in a gunfight or sacrificing his life like with the plane in season 2. If they kill him off with this disease and that's it I'm going to be seriously pissed - I mean really, really pissed!!!

Kill Jack = No more 24 = Jack won't die.
My guess is an antedote held by John Voigt's character's company which was developed at the same time as the bio weapon. They can release the bio weapon then for a price save everybody with the antedote. Just a guess.SDA-1C (full mods)

Keifer's signed for an 8th season according to this: Keifer Sutherland signs for an 8th season
Network could end with a 7th season cliff-hanger 'hooking' viewers for an
8th. These 24 hr story cycles would permit Jack to draw the sheets over himself ie Jack gets very ill 7th season finale and dies 8th season finale....all speculation of course. -
I haven't seen an episode in years, but I thought I heard something about him indicating possible that he dies and stays on in 'flashback' terms.........who knows...........comment comment comment comment. bitchy.

The show has never once broken the "real-time" model by showing a flashback, so that seems highly unlikely. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
the bug he was infected with has a kill- time of about 24 hours or so, and with 7 hours left in the season it is possible to carry this over until next season, but again they have a span of several years between seasons also. I don't think the show needs Jack Bauer to continue anyway as Tony Alemda is more than capable of taking over if Jack was goneThe Gear... Jack lives.
I'm glad that some of you guys are working on some possible scenarios. Means I don't have to think about it so much. Thanks for doing the work for me. Hope someone here is right. That'd be fun!

Renee has shown that she's more than capable of getting a little "Jack" on someone to extract information. Perhaps she could take over Jack's roll. She's gone rogue as well.SDA-1C (full mods)

You don't see them in one place at the same 'time' because they are one and the same.
