SurroundBar 360 Wiring and Setting up
I recently purchased the SurroundBar 360 and I'm confused as how to hook up everything to it and get the audio output from each device through to the SurroundBar 360. I have the following:
Comcast HD DVR
XBox 360
Nintendo Wii
Toshiba 1080p 40" HDTV
Here is the image of the connectors on the back of my TV:

How do I hook up each device without losing the HD Connectivity since I know there is only ONE HDMI port on the back of the SurroundBar 360 DVD system.
Thanks!

Hi j. Use an HDMI switcher like this one:

If I use that, how do I connect everything? Do I connect my XBox and Comcast HD DVR to the SurroundBar DVD with the HDMI switch? And then another HDMI cable from the SurroundBar DVD to the TV? What about the Wii that uses the 5-wire component cable?
Thanks. -
Hi J
HDMI connections:
PS3 and Comcast into the switcher; switcher into the 360 receiver; receiver into the TV.
As far as I know, there are no connections for the Wii.

That sounds like it'll work, except I don't want to give up the Wii. Can I just use my current setup where I have everything hooked directly to the TV and then have a digital audio wire from the TV to the 360 receiver? I don't care about using the DVD function on the 360 since my XBox can play DVDs already.
If this works, what kind of wire will I need? -
Yes, you can run a digital (optical or coaxial) cable for audio from the TV to the 360 receiver.
I'm curious, how do you connect the Wii to the TV? My understanding is that the Wii has a propietary connection on the Wii end and a 5 channel connection on the outgoing end. How does that connect to a TV?

I have this:
http://www.amazon.com/Official-Wii-Component-Video-Cable-Nintendo/dp/B000JJRV90
Which is what you described and that goes into Color Stream HD 2 In on the back of my TV. See my original post for a pic of the connections on the back of my TV.
Which digital cable is better? Optical or coaxial? -
Also going back to your HDMI switcher solution. How do you get the receiver into the TV if there's only one HDMI output on the back of the receiver and that is being used by the switcher?
I also noticed that the surroundbar 360 receiver has a component input on the back of it so I can plug in the wii there.
