Bass on SDA II's

Okay. I checked my PR's today and found that the right PR goes in and out freely and pushing on it extends the drivers out all the way and letting go means the drivers go back in instantly. That seems good. On the left side though, while pushing in on the PR, I feel resistance and it barely moves the mid-range drivers out and while I keep pushing on the PR, the drivers will slowly go back in. I don't think that sounds right. Either there is a problem with the PR on the left side or there is a massive airleak on it that I cannot find. What should I do?Home Theater:

You can replace all the gaskets with Mortite from Home Depot. It'll give you a better seal and better bass."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Your right speaker has an air leak. Check that the gaskets are in place and make sure the screws are tightened down. Check the rubber suurounds for small holes and/or rips. Also, check the cabinet seams for leaks.Political Correctness'.........defined

Do you mean my left speaker? When I push on the PR on the right speaker, the drivers remain pushed out for a long time until I let go. The left one is the one that doesn't even let the drivers come out all the way before they go back in.Home Theater:

Ok, this is what should happen. Press in on the PR, you should feel resistance and the drivers will move out. While holding the PR in, the drivers should move back slowly. So, from your comments in post #32, "On the left side though, while pushing in on the PR, I feel resistance and it barely moves the mid-range drivers out and while I keep pushing on the PR, the drivers will slowly go back in", I would have to say that there is a problem in your right speaker.
I should add that the drivers will not move all the way back to their resting position until the PR is fully released.Political Correctness'.........defined

That is what is happening on my left speaker. They are going basically all the way back to their original position without me releasing the PR. The quote you made about the left side was referring to the left SDA, not the right SDA as you said. Unless I am misunderstanding...Home Theater:

Ok, this has gotten a bit confusing. Let's try this again.
Press in on the PR, you should feel resistance and the drivers will move out. While holding the PR in, the drivers should move back slowly. The drivers will not move all the way back to their resting position until the PR is fully released.Political Correctness'.........defined
