I have my television and DVD hook into the receiver. But to hear any sound I have to turn the volume up to 65 on the volume control. Is there any way to adjust the volume that so I don't have to turn the control up so high. I only have two speakers. If that helps.

I didn't try to look up your model of receiver, but if it's an A/V receiver, it sounds like you need to go into the receiver's setup menus and adjust the speaker levels. If you're only going to use two speakers, make sure the other speaker inputs are disabled. It may automatically disable them if no speaker wires are connected to the terminals.

How do you have the hookup? Does the DVD (sound and video) go to the receiver first with maybe HDMI and then on to the TV, or does the TV sound output "loop back" to the receiver? It would help to know the hook-up path, plus the various equipment model numbers in the chain. You should not have to turn the volume up past 12 o'clock or something somewhere is probably not right.

Thank you. I will use your suggestions. I bought a center speaker and adjusted the set up.
