Info for RT800i CS400i
I am trying to use the CARA room acoustic program( see here ) which does not have any Polk speakers on their list. With the answer to the 3 questions for the RT800i and the CS400i I could finish using their speaker editor. If someone at Polk with all the specs wants to answer these or better yet send specs to CARA they will add them to their online list.
Here is what I need
1. Crossover Characteristics:
Chebyshev or
Butterworth or
Butterworth low-damped or
Linkwitz-Riley
2. Design principle:
Bass Reflex or
Transmission Line or
Closed or
Passive Radiator
3. SPL Frequency at low Frequencies:
high damping or
standard or
low damping
They also ask for crossover freq. , driver types and sizes, and cabinet dimensions, that were easy to find in the instruction manuals that come with the speakers.
I would really appreciate the info.

Can anyone help me by answering the three questions in the first post?
Does Polk not want to give out this info? If there is a reason would someone tell me what it is?
I sent an e-mail with the questions and I have not got a reply yet .
I would really like to get accurate results from CARA and that is my reason for requesting the information.

Yes!!! please listen to the Doc. Just give Polk a call. If I was the engineer in charge I would not sanction posting specs on a forum.
