Sub/front set-up

I have a PSW650 sub. And a pair of RT55 book shelfs that I use as fronts. The PSW650 isn't hooked up yet. The sub manual says use the "front speaker level out" on my receiver to the the "front speakers in" on the sub. Then wire to the fronts. Should I do that,or stick with the 5.1 out set-up that I use right now(L,R,C,SUR,SUB) My receiver has a LFE out that I use with the sub I use right now. The PSW650 has a LFE "IN",but,do I use it? If I use the "speaker level out" to the PSW650,do I set my fronts to "Large"? Or,stick with a traditional 5.1 speaker set-up? Thanks, JOHN thrillkiller@live.com
POLK SET-UP: $450 from Craigslist (9/10 looks,10/10 sonically)

2. CS400i - center
3. RT/fx - surrounds
4. PSW650 - sub

I would set everything to "small" and use the LFE out to the subs LFE and the AVRs bass management. But it can be done as described in the sub manual, typically called "The Polk Way" but then you will need to use the subs filters to blend it with your system.
Most but not all prefer the LFE approach.

Life (or lack of) of the unemployed. Hopefully that will end soon, and I won't have so much time to spend here. Not that it's a bad thing, just not what I prefer. -
