Replacing subs in RT2000i with non OEM

That is my question in a nut shell. Can I replace my OEM 8" subwoofers in my RT2000i's with something a bit tighter to match my SVS sub?

And I would also like to do the same to my CS1000p center channel with 6.5" subs.

Any help would be appreciated!

Mike

The crossovers in those speakers are specifically designed for those drivers. You could take some rough measurements of the drivers and try to match them with something that has similar specs, but it most likely won't sound too good.

I am asking about the lower subwoofers in the speaker, that are hooked to the amps. Now my next question, is there a x-over to the subs other than what is found in the built in amp?? I thought they were wired up just like a normal sub, the amp handles that part, right?
