Garage Systems
Just hooked up an old Kenwood system in the garage, but I'm a little concerned about dust, moisture, extreme temperatures, etc. I currently have the system covered up with a towel (when it's not in use of course), but is there something else I should consider...or do I even need to worry about covering it at all?

It's an old Kenwood, it is meant to be in the garage.

I have had various systems in my garage for about 5 years and never once had any problems except for horrible acoustics. Mine is insulated though, and new doors that are tightly sealed. I guess it depends on where you live.

Dust is real bad we have alot of dust at my work and despite our best efforts a cd lasts only like 6 months, as far as moisture it depends on where you live, here in CO its dry moderate to cold so not to bad but Dallas humid and hot not good had a receiver in my garage die in two week there.

ROTFL:D:D True, but I'd like for it to live as long as possible. As zarrdoss mentioned, the Dallas humidity is what really worries me.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden
