I am looking at some amps for my sda,s and need to make sure they are common groung. Can you just run a multi tester between the two grounds and Ohm it out? If not is there any other on the spot ways you can test?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Yes if it reads next to 0 ohms you are good. Some amps have resistors on the input side that are used for negative feedback so if it is near 0 I still recommend strapping the grounds.
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Cool thanks, Not that I need to do this but by "strapping the grounds" do you mean just running one wire from one ground to the other? or one wire out of each ground to the metal chassy?
Thanks again -
Run a substantial cable from one negative speaker terminal to the other. In most cases the chassis should be left alone, unless otherwise advised."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience.
