R50 BNIB on CL St. Louis

I'm really not sure what the value of these speakers are - when i look at the vintage list of Polk products, it doesn't really tell me what line they came from, only that they were about $700 MSRP. But there's a guy in St. Louis selling two of them brand new in box for $125 each.
I'm really not looking for speakers myself, though the thought of starting my own system is tempting (but not feasible with a wife who's all about Dave Ramsey right now). So i thought i'd post here to see how worth it it might be to pick them up, or in case anyone else might be interested...

FRYS used to sell cherry R50 for $60 each IIRC. $15-30 to ship. Pairs of Monitor 50s have sold on Polk Direct for less than $200 shipped. Comes with the warranty too.
