Adcom GFA-5300 any good?

Does anyone have this amp? any good? the reason is I have a chance to get one REAL CHEAP.

    Nice little amp. Depending on what you can get it for and what kind of speakers you're trying to run.

    probably less than 100 but think I will hold out for "MORE PoWER" as it will either power some LS90's or some SDA SRS 2.3's, just thought it sounded like a good deal.

    The Adcom 5300 isn't common ground. $100 is a good price if it's in good condition but it wouldn't push your LS90 or 2.3's. It's more of a bookshelf speaker type of a amp

    Thanks for the info leroyjr1, I have decided to pass. I will be looking in the 250 to 300 watt per channel sometime in the future, can anyone refer a budget amp in that range? has anyone had exp. with Audio Source amps?

    Adcom 555 is a great amp for the price.

    What about this of local CL Adcom Amp GFA-545II, B&K Pre-Amp CS115 both for around $300

    My opinion 100watts@8 ohms will not be enough for your 2.3's. I'd go at least the Adcom 555. All I can say is give it a try. I have some stock sda 2.3tl's and a adcom 545 in the closet. When I get off work I'll hook it up and see how they sounds together.

    stock 2.3tl's and adcom 545 "in your closet" and thought I was bad, lol Thanks but you dont have to go to that kind of trouble, unless you really want to. Im just getting some ideas and will keep looking for a 555 on here and CL trying to avoid e-bay.
