I'm been looking into buying a subwoofer. I've split between the PSW111 and the PSW110. I have a Onkyo TX-SR606 and PS3 for my BD player and sonud and video over HDMI. I have four of Polk's RM7 surrounds and a RM7 center for my speakers. I have approxly 15x25x8 room with two hallways on one each side I am split between the PSW111 and the PSW110 I like the
PSW110's 10inch cone and freq range but I like the PSW111's extra 100 Watts. Please help

PSW 110 hits a bit lower and may be a bit better for Home Theater. But the 111 is good with music and pretty tight. You can see from Polk's loudness specs that the 110 has more of a bottom for LFE effects. That's a tough call because the 111 is such a nice little sub. And the PSW125 would be the top of that line and the loudest for Home Theater....I used to run a PSW12 a few years ago in that size room. And it was pretty loud although it did suffer from the older design and port noise. But I positioned it and tweaked it so that the port noise was not noticeable.

The PSW 12 is really the predecessor of the PSW125 and would compare best to it. If you're interested in HT. I'd think about the 125. But the best Polk subs are the newer more expensive series....see above. The 125 uses the same amp as the 111 but has the advantage of a 40 lb. cabinet and a 12" woofer so it'll sound much weightier.

Both of them are suitable for the set-up you have described. If you look at the continous power there is only 50 watts deference which advantages the PSW111 slightly. However, the 10" driver on the PSW110 also has an advantage as the lower frequency is slightly lower. So your choices are quite comparable, not really noticable therefore, the best way is for you to have a listen/audition and compare both of them and pick-up the one you prefer. I don't know if someone can comment on the PSW111 but I can personnally tell you the PSW110 is good, I like how it sounds and never had any single issue with it so far in the maybe 18 months that I own it.

    Cheers :)

I would definetly get the PSW125 but Best Buy doesn't stock them, as far as I know and I cannot find any other non-online stores that do. Does anyone know of any stores where I can buy it. Please help, thanks.

I own a PSW111 and absolutlly love it! I just bought it 2 weeks ago at the Circuit City Close Out for 50% off! I paid $150. It is super powerful although smaller than the PSW110. I am sure both models would suit you fine. The PSW110 has a larger speaker but smaller watts and the PSW111 has more watts but a smaller speaker. I love my PSW111!! I also loved the price of $150 too on the final days of Circuit City
