RTi-A Series Floorstander Wall Distance

I am looking at the Polk RTiA series speakers for HT/Music usage, particularly the A7 and A9 for mains with a CSi A6 center. My current room is a small 10x15 guest room, but the room size is going to get larger when I move. I recognize that the floorstanders are likely overkill right now.

If I choose the A7 or A9, what would be a general distance from the wall to keep them? I noticed in the Liam Neeson Polk article that his were pretty much on the wall.

I have listened to other brands I like and put together multiple plans based on the sounds I actually enjoyed, but I am leaning towards the Polks right now. The A9 concerns me because it is a massive speaker and I likely cannot keep it more than a couple of inches from the wall right now.

I currently have a Marantz 5003 which is rated at 90w/ch on paper. My subwoofer is undecided, but there will be one. Is it pointless to have the A9 with the subwoofer, given the speaker has 3 of it's own woofers? How does that compare to the A7 with only two woofers and one midrange?

Sorry for all the questions. Just want to clear things up a little before I pull the trigger.

The farthest out you can get them, given the space. Near wall placement enhances bass; bringing speakers out enhances imaging. I seriously doubt you'll need bass enhancement in a 10x15 room with towers.
