On the weekend I picked up a 180 gram copy of Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction. Unbelievable how good this copy sounds. Like hearing for the first time. Clear full range sound with details I've never heard before. I've always enjoyed this classic but you haven't heard it until you've heard this version of it on vinyl. Wow factor 11. And that's with my main (Carver) amp in the shop for repair. The Kenwood KA-9100 backup amp continues to impress.

Sweet I still have to pick that one up. BTW the older kenwood amps are verry under rated! I have a ka-8006 from 73 that still beats out many many amps out there.

The KA-9100 was built as two mono blocks in one chassis. Totally seperate power supplies, input and output stages. Plus as an integrated the pre-amp is extremely impressive with sub-sonic filter, gain switching for using different input voltages, low and high ranges on the vu meters and three positon loudness switch. Plus you can throw your back out lifting it. Huge heavy heatsinks. A total beast of an integrated amp. Very very under rated in my opinion. Your KA-8006 is a real classic beauty as well. And there I hijacked my own thread. Oh well.

I've been meaning to get a copy of this. I love when they re-release classic rock on high quality vinyl and they do a bang up job on the mastering.

Too funny~! Many of the Kenwood amps are underrated that is for sure!!

I agree I love when they re-issue the LP. If you are not suscribed to the Mobile fidelity site, check it out!!!

They have megadeath and faith no more and Rush on 180 G ultra2!!

I really wish they would have more or keep them longer instead of it all being so limited.
