I ordered Opiate on LP. I've been jamming to it for weeks, then I realize I'm missing the track Cold & Ugly. What's funny is that the hidden song: "The gaping Lotus Experience" is where Cold & Ugly normally is in the album arrangement. Playing the Album last night, I heard Cold & Ugly, out of nowhere! But, the hidden song never played? I replayed the entire album again and the hidden song played, but no Cold & Ugly? So, now I'm starting to freak out and begin staring at my bottle of jack wondering if I've been poisoned.
Ultimately I decide to google this freak happening and learn that the Maynard of Tool decided it would be a good idea to use the pressing of Vinyl artistically. He made it so the needle of your turn table will randomly fall into the grooves of the Hidden Song or Cold & Ugly. Apparently the grooves are laced right next to each other!
Tool RULES!

Very cool. I've been looking to pick that up to put it beside Lateralus and Parabol(still sealed).
Do you have Lateralus? For some reason it's pretty poor sounding on my rig, I believe I may have gotten a bad pressing."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -

I had to buy and return two different albums before I found a third that sounded pretty damn good. -

So you are saying that two songs are squeezed into the same space on the LP? Or, does the "song" appear to be wider on the LP? I wonder how that trick affects the sound quality.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

Dont forget A perfect circle, Has anyone heard of Maynard's new group Pucifer?
-
I haven't got A Perfect Circle on Vinyl yet, I got all the CDs though. "Puscifer" is pretty good but none of the aforementioned bands will overtake Tool.
I like this Puscifer song, the chick singing with Maynard sounds hot:
