New parts arrival

The new drivers for my 2b's arrived and are now installed!!:D:D

Took less than a week from the money changing hands to when they arrived up here in Canada! Gotta love that!

After a short listen (women ~sigh~ (wife and daughters), the new mids are impressive! They opened up the soundstage considerably, not sure how?? Much cleaner and more precise. More detail easily found as well.

Build date on the originals was Feb. 1990 so maybe just age.

The new tweets are nice as well, maybe a shade harsher. At least at this point.

Thanks to Polk for still providing the parts to make an 18 year old speaker sound as new!!!!:D GREAT service!

    Can't beat customer service like that, I have replaced RDo198s, 194s, 6510 from Polk and it was a pleasant experience each time.

    Have you tried the Mortite tweak yet ?

    Just noticed you are running a TFM-45, me as well with my 1Cs.

    How do you like it ?

    Really like the 45 with the SDA's. Nice warm sound, I think, without washing out the detail.

    Definitely needs a dedicated 15amp circuit for it!

    Haven't tried any crossover tweaking as of yet...
