Using an outboard phono pre with the C19??

Surprising, I've always found Carver phono stages to be very good.

I just got the c19. I set it up the way I had it set up on my Adcom 565. I am giving it a few weeks with the outboard then i will change it to what is built into the c19 and compair the 2.

Has anyone tried the Dynakit MkIII monoblocks? 60 watts of push pull power using 6550 or KT88 output tubes. And the kits are very reasonable; approximately $600 each with the tubes. Here's the link http://www.dynakitparts.com/store/product.aspx?id=3.

Hey Russ- a friend has (original) MkIIIs driving his Maggies. I'm going to borrow them some time in the future at which point I'll report back. Assuming they sound good, it looks like a fun build for next winter.

    The other Russ:D
