What you want is an AudioControl R-130. It has 30 bands ( 30 rows of LEDs) and looks very expensive. It went for around $600 new, no longer produced. I sold mine and wish I hadn't. It is NOT and EQ. Picks up sound from the included calibrated mic or off the line. It is in the form of a standard component. Very classy piece of equipment.

It is considered a real analyzer, not just a pretty indication so there is real value to using one. I could sense my SDA's with it, watch for a little while and get a good image in my mind what the response curve looked like. I could then watch another speaker and see something different.

Now that is cool! With one of those, I could easily end up sitting on the floor watching the blobs of molten wax go up and down ... kind of how my cats are mesmerized at the window with moths trying to get inside to the lights during the night....

Well Guess What? I have an Audio Control, Spectrum Analyzer, Model C50A. 10 channel, 4 sets of inputs, function, range display action and input level settings. Looks to be in good condition, I've never used it but Dipole Dan tells me it worked wonderfully. Pink noise inputs the works. Sides are oak, it's a small unit, maybe 10" width, 4" height and 5" deep. I couldn't find any Google links. I'll take some pictures later. PM me your addy, it's coming your way as Karma.

    Regards,
    Carl
