Hmm... Seriously thinking of going all the way to SF (5-7 hour drive one way) just to grab that SDA pair for $150.

What kind of space do I need in my car? Do I need a truck or is an SUV ok?

The SDA-SRS 2's are real nice if in deccent shape. I saw one dented dust cap(no biggie), but if they are solid you may never want to go any larger than those. The 1C's and the SDA-SRS2's are some of the most sought out speakers in the SDA family. As for the 2's for $150 they are a steal. Define car? A truck or van most likely will be needed.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

A car with the rear seats down should work with anything midsize or larger. Those Studio 2As are definitely a sweet pair of speakers for $150.

So the Monitor 7's aren't too exciting?

Also, my two personal options are a Honda CRV or a Toyota RAV4.

Due to the probability of these speakers (I want to buy both if possible) not fitting in these choices, I am appealing to my friend whose parents have trucks.

Really? Polk is quoting the SDA SRS 2 at 63" H.

Man, there's so little information about these guys.

This Review shows the SDA 2 at 40" H or so.

My preference with those three speakers would go: SRS 2, Monitor 7, SDA 2A. So yes, the Monitor 7s are good speakers.

WOOHOOOOOOOOO!!! It is in the upper-hood of likeliness that I will be grabbing the SRS 2. HAHAHA!!! I am so freaking excited!!!

And it's gonna be a roadtrip to do it.

The seller says it's in quite a presentable condition.

Btw, this is the condition of the Monitor 7's. Does anyone have enough experience to tell which of the Monitor 7's these are? Also, since they are so scraped the top of one, should I not bother at almost $100? Or should I just buy it and sand it and re-finish?

SWEET! I may be getting BOTH the SDA AND maybe the Monitor 7 if it's still there. (Barely fits in the car we are going to use).

Man, the excitement is ridiculous. So many vintage speakers to be had!

Btw, there was some guy who was saying that the bass was rumbly and the highs were harsh on his SDA SRS pair. And he basically said the SDA effect wasn't really that good.

I guess I will have to be the ultimate judge of that, but now I'm worried...

Maybe he had a small room? How big of a room do you need?

There are a few that don't like the SDA effect, but overwhelmly most get one listen and fall under the spell. I wouldn't worry about it. Harsh highs? Nah, the SL2000s might be a little rough, but you can fix that with the RDOs if you want.

I get the feeling from reading around that even if you ended up not liking them, you could get your money back out of them (including the cost to get them) - so i wouldn't worry too much
