Question on VM20s, RM50T's and RM7300's
I have a pair of floorstander RM50Ts (pewter)
And a pair of lcr RM7300's (titanium).
I was on a speaker buying rampage last year and impulse bought these. I didn't realize they were different colors. Doh!
Well I decided to finally hook them up and put them to HT use in the basement (until I get the ded HT and the LSi's setup) and realized I don't have a center (using a phantom center for now). I'm not overly concerned about the color mismatch, since the room will likely be dark when its in use anyway, but I really do like the darker Pewter look better.
Anyway I've been considering getting the RM302 fron Polkdirect for $150 to round it out (which as far as I can tell is really just a single RM7300 with a stand to use it as a center except its pewter-although the pic makes it look like its titanium).
Then I saw the Newegg deal for the VM20's (silver) for $200 each shipped (and tax free).
Note, I have a sub either way

- How does the VM series compare to the RM series as far as SQ?
- Is the VM series the replacement for the RMs?
- Would buying a VM20 as a center blend well with the RM50Ts?
- I might consider 3 VM20's for a complete front stage--how would a VM20 (lcr) compare to the RM50T floorstander overall?
- Has anybody tried to paint either the RM's or the silver VM's?
Note, I have a sub either way

Dammit-I meant to call Polk CS before they closed earler to ask some questions.
Oh what to do, what to do. The sale will be over in less than 2 hours and I'll be asleep before then.
I'm considering getting 3. Or perhaps just 1 to fill the center out. But then I think I should get two for the $ and still just use one for the center. Or should I bother at all. Its not like I eally need any more speakers right now.
