I am wonderring if there is any real significant difference in these two speakers. There specs seem identical to me. The price is significantly different here in Canada. The rti6 I can get new for $199.99 and the RTIA3's are $550.99.

Just wonder if the price difference would be warented.

The cabinet and some argue that the RTi A series are a little less bright. If it were me, I would get the 6's and mod the xo.

I do believe they are the same basic speaker, just the RTi "A" series are the newer/latest release. The RTi6 originally had a MSRP around $450 US.

I started a thread a few months ago asking this same question -- I ended up getting refurb A3's because they were less than new RTi6's and I think the A3's are better looking. The overwhelming opinion is that the external appearance is the only difference and if you get a deal on the 6's you should jump on them. At $199 they're a steal.

If, like me, you prefer the look of the A3's, give Polk Direct a call and see if they've got any refurbs around...

Is this $199 Canadian??? An even better deal.... And yes, they will timbre-match fine, IMO.

Reno, you'll really enjoy the RTi 6's. I picked them up for that price when the first went on for Boxing Day. Great sound, you'll be surprised with the bass and clarity. What center are you using now, I had the A4 and ended upgrading to the A6, to me at least the A4 was missing a little clarity and bass after setting the 6's up. Enjoy. :)

I don't have a center yet but I'm going to buy a new entertainment center to put my electronics in, before I get a center. I think I may get an A6. Is the csi5 its predisessor?
