So I figure I would tell you guys how pleased I am with my little project on my truck I have been doing.

As most of you know, I have been dynamating my doors for the past month. I finished the last door yesterday - FINALLY. It sucked to drive around with my door panel off, a huge inconvience.

But, man what a difference. While the door panels were off - I also sprayed some expanding foam in between the bars of the sheet metal and the reinforcement bar. The factory expanding foam had broken free and was causing excess noise. On top of that - I put about 2-3 layers of R-Blox on the actual door skin, then 1 to 2 layers on the inner door sheet metal, then 1-2 layers on the outer door panel...

Such a huge difference, also a big difference in how my truck reacts to temperature changes. It is far more comfortable in my truck now in hot/cold weather.

But just huge differences, the doors even sound better when you close them. Totally rocking.

I also went ahead and ripped out the mirrors to replace the mirror glass (previous owner scratched the **** out of them with something???) and put dynamat on the back of them to prevent them from going crazy with louder music and higher speeds.

Another huge difference.

Probally will take a break for now - but I will eventually start ripping out easier to access interior panels and dynamat those, the floor, back wall -- probally will use that stuff Cody talked about for the floor along with dynamat as well for extra dampening and rattle resistance.

Should be a pretty quiet ride when I am done. But I think I am going to enjoy it for a little while!

Thanks for reading if you made it this far, just bored and cant go to sleep!

Ah man - I've already pieced it back together and moved on, I'm removed those door skins so many times I'm afraid if I keep doing it I might start breaking them! haha

I know it won't be the same, but if your looking for general sound deadening pictures, there should be some from myself, Cody, and Mac floating around the forum if you do a search.

I dampened the plastic door skins --

That honestly made the biggest difference than anything...

I dampened every square inch of it... huge huge difference. Far quieter - heavier, felt better, just... better.

I would recomend it to anyone.
