What is the best way to run both subs with this receiver Pioneer SC 07? Can i use the sub preout for one? or do i have to run one sub from the other sub? My yamaha has 2 sub outs. I use the DSW 500 for music, and both the 500, and 600 for movies.

Do those subs have an LFE out for another sub? What most people usually recommend is just getting a really thick high quality Y cable and hooking that up the the sub out on the receiver and the subs to the Y ends.

    Anyone else...?

You could get a y splitter and run both subs that way. I didn't see a sub out on the 07 I saw tho (hope it's there, I want to grab one!)

Thanks, they do not have a LFE out. I have a Y but was not sure if there was a better way.

There may be a better way but I haven't seen it yet. Maybe our gurus can step in; because I'm considering running two Boston subs in the very same way off my Onkyo?

Hmmmmmm! I'm beginning to remember something about this now. But I can't remember the thread. The Yamahas do have 2 sub outs but that's done internally wiring like a Y splitter I think.

The question was about the output of a sub out vs. a sub pre-out. And damned I can't remember what someone said about that!

I remember reading something like that as well, But i can't find it. I am sure the Y splitter is the way to go. I just wanted to be sure. The SC-07 will be here Thursday.

Tool, are you sure this has a sub out and a sub pre-out? I'm looking at a photo of the back on Pioneers site and all I see is a sub pre-out, and right below the outs are a full set of anolog input, including a sub. I would say the sub pre-out into a Y splitter should do it. I'm still confused on the two sub outs:confused:

I suggest Y splitter. I use SMS-1 in my setup with the SC-07
