LCR REDO - Need advice
I need a upgrade on my front speakers. I set up a HT with 3 TC265i's (LCR) with intentions of watching movies only. The room is now too cozy and I find myself 'trying' to listen to music. Unfortunately the TCs are good for movies but pretty rough, to me, for dedicated music listening.
I am using a parasound 1205a amp (140@8ohms,200@4)
HSU VTF-2 sub
Room is 13.5 x 21 x 7.5
I have 2 thoughts that I would like input on as to which way to lean. New use will be about 60%movies -40% music.
My music taste is geared towards bluegrass and vocals - Not a lot of hard and loud, but its been known to happen;-)
First thought - RTI a7s (or 9's?) as LR keeping the tc265i as the center. This keeps me timbre matched and I am content with the center as dialogue is actually very good for movies.
Second thought - LSI9s as the LR with LC265i at the center.
I need the Center as inwall because its behind a AT screen and I feel I will regret changing that, so that is why I skipped the LSIC.
So for the sake of the music which way to go, given the amp I have. I pulled back from the RTI a9's due to the fact I don't think I can do them justice with my wpc available.
I'd sure appreciate some thoughts on this.

I find the RTis are great HT speakers and can be great music speakers with more work like AMPs, EQ and room treatments. Have you looked at the LSis ? MAybe some Vintage Polks like SDAs?
I am sure you will get lots of varying opinionsSpeakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)
Preamp: Joule Electra LA-150 MKII SE
Amp: Wright WPA 50-50 EAT KT88s
Analog: Marantz TT-15S1 MBS Glider SL| Wright WPP100C Amperex BB 6er5 and 7316 & WPM-100 SUT
Digital: Mac mini 2.3GHz dual-core i5 8g RAM 1.5 TB HDD Music Server Amarra (memory play) - USB - W4S DAC 2
Cables: Mits S3 IC and Spk cables| PS Audio PCs -
I tried the vintage route with a pair of Klipsch Quartets I had upstairs. WAF problem due to size and finish. I would have also had to try and find a academy (fat chance) and thus given up my behind the screen center.
The Lsi9's and LC were actually the original plan but, given my amp I was wondering if I would be further ahead with the Rtis and my existing TC center.
This really comes down to the best performance match (with the 1205), since both rigs will be a definate step forward.
