Suggestions on a new preamp

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new to me preamp. I'm sure there are several members here who have owned or had the chance to demo both of the preamps I am looking to purchase at this time. I am quite sure I want to add a tubed preamp in the mix at this time. I am just having a hard time making the decision between the two choices I have decided on.

#1. Rogue Audio Sixty-Six w/Phono Stage (6692 tubes)
#2. Marsh P2000T

Both of these are in my price range and both have several nice reviews. The phono stage in the Rogue isn't a deal maker/breaker since I have several other phono preamps I can use. I use MM or high output MC cartridges in my TT's so I know the Rogue's phono stage will work. But, how good is the phono stage? One less piece of gear in the rack is always welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Haven't heard them. See if the shop will let you try them out at home. Or give them a listen.

I've just purchased the Marsh P2000B and like it a lot. It's not tubed, but it sure is sweet. Maybe Zero will chime in on the P2000T. He recommends it highly and he's the man.

Thanks for the input. I'm still on the fence trying to decide which way to go. Someone suggested looking into a Conrad Johnson PV10A or Golden Tube Audio SEP1. Now its getting really confusing.

Stay away from Rogue if you demand a good remote. Their volume remotes are worthless, each click up or down results in super loud sound or next to nothing. It's impossible to try and find a volume in between. That being said, I've owned the Metis and they Perseus and they sound superb.

Well I decided to go with a Conrad Johnson PV12L. I was lucky enough to be able to do a side by side demo of the Conrad Johnson, the Marsh & the Rogue all together this past weekend. It took a few hours but in my opinion and for my sound tastes the Conrad Johnson won hands down. Thanks for all the input from you guys. I guess I should have mentioned the CJ when it came into play. But since I was able to do a demo of all 3 at the same sitting other opinions were not really needed.

Jolida makes some quality gear. +1 on that recommendation.

Its working great. Coupled with a pair of Monarchy 100's and a pair of Dynaudio Audience 72's (while working on the restoration of my SDA's) the combination is nice to my ears.
