    TBT? Ringing a bell:p
Well, I've actually been here long enough to remember Sona, requests for her to bake pie, and rskarvan, who aided and abetted IIRC. Rskarvan apparently visited just a few days ago, but I don't remember seeing any posts. I liked the idea of the TBT. It just seemed to make CP seem different and even more unique than other audio forums, although I only ever browsed it once or twice myself (what do you mean "you don't believe me"?!). It still makes me smile when I look at who's online, and somebody shows up as "Viewing Thread ...".

However, I have no idea what the significance of that number is, Ben! Other than that, I'm not sure that I have a favorite number.

Sigh, there's a whole generation of people who don't know the prefix "giga" because of that movie. :D

Hmmm... I stand corrected. I was always of the thought that "jigga" was a much higher order of magniture than "giga" as used in the movie. So, after reading your post I consulted the knowledge-mine that is the source of all fact and information that is Wikipedia and found the following content...

    " "Gigawatt"
The power required is pronounced in the film as "one point twenty-one ji-ga-wahts". While the closed-captioning in home video versions spells the word as it appears in the script, beginning with "j", the actual spelling matches the standard prefix and the term for power of "one billion watts": gigawatt. Though obscure, the "j" sound at the beginning of the SI prefix giga- is in fact the original and still an acceptable pronunciation for "gigawatt".[2][3] In the DVD commentary for Back to the Future, Robert Zemeckis stated that he had thought it was pronounced this way because this was how the scientific adviser that he had for the film pronounced it.
    "

And now, my ADCOM GFA-555 modified with dual flux capacitors doesn't have nearly the output I thought it did...

The funny thing is, if Back to the F uture had been made 15 years later, "giga-" would have been so commonplace because of computers (gigabyte, gigahertz, etc) that no one would have made the mistake to begin with.

Also funny that that movie was made in 1985 where personal computers barely even existed... doesn't seem that long ago....
