Hi all,
I have a pair of old polk s10 speakers with one of the 7.5inch mid/woofers making some nasty scratching noises. Anyone know if i can get a replacement?
Alternatively i was considering truing this into a project and building a couple of 10" sub enclosures using the s10 passive radiators with peerless xls drivers and then building some new floorstanding enclosures around some new mid's with the old s10 tweets.
I liked the laid back sound of the s10's and i don't like thowing stuff away when it is mostly in very good condition.
Any thoughts?

I would replace the mids on the S10s, or build/buy new speakers all together. Since the specs of Polks drivers are proprietary, you won't be able to build a correct crossover to incorporate the Polk drivers.
As far as new mids, try contacting Polk Customer Service and they might have replacements. Good luck and welcome to CP! -
Interesting!
