Hi All,
Could any one give me some advice on the qaulity of Polk Audio monitor series 11T speakers. e.g Their good and bad points. Are these speakers any good for 2 channel systems?

Kind Regards:

    Welcome to CP...

I've only heard the 11Ts briefly, but did spend some time with it's little brother the 8T.

    Cons:
    - Looks aren't too exciting, but are in line with speakers built at that time, at that pricepoint.
    - Didn't use high end parts in the crossovers
    - SL2000 tweeter, the 11TL with the SL3000 is more desirable, however there's a silk dome replacement that will tame the characteristic 13K peak and is a drop in replacement.

    Pros:
    - It's one of the nicest sounding Polks I've ever heard. I'd put it just a notch below SDAs...sort of an SDA w/o SDA.
    - I won't list anymore because that's the most important part.

    That's my subjective opinion.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

As mentioned above, there are some upgrades available. Swapping the SL2000 tweeter for the silk dome and upgrading the crossover components really make a nice improvement to the SQ. I did it to my RTA11TL's back in December and I am still astounded.
