Ionizer as anti-static for vinyl?

I was reading on another forum and several people claim to have extremely good success using a very cheap ionizer device such as a usb ionizer or an ionizing hair dryer for eliminating static on LP's. Does anyone here have any experience using anything like this and would you care to share your findings. I have been using a humidifier but I have to keep it so high I find it uncomfortable. I've also been using a ground wire attached to the metal body of my carbon fiber brush and that seems to work pretty good most of the time but not always. These people are claiming the ionizers works better than a Milty Zerostat. Thoughts?

I just zap the record with my Zerostat before each play Fong. Seems to be sufficient.
I recall reading something about this at ve to.

Off topic. I did some transfers today that are to absolutely die for. One was a MFSL 180g rip of Permanent Waves.
