Resident Evil 5

I thought I had made a thread about this game...but apparently not.
Well I picked it up for the 360 yesterday, and I have to say that despite a few little hiccups in the game presentation itself, that this is the best two player Co-op game to date.
Gameplay (9 out of 10): Well if you played the Demo then you will be disappointed that the gameplay did not change. You still stop to shoot, but I found it to be not so annoying as the Demo. Maybe I was used to it at that point, but it works. You inventory list is easily accessible, or you can hot key your weapons or health to the main four buttons on the D-Pad. Zombies are formidable on normal levels, and seem to get harder to take down as the game progresses. There are some CRAZY **** boss fights. A little on the hokey side, but still fun, and at times it is trial and error to beat them.
Audio (6 out of 10): Maybe it is just me but there is nothing revolutionary here. In fact I think the rear speakers are used infrequently, and I am constantly being taken advantage of from the rear! (Thats what She SAID!) Seriously zombies are not known for their stealth, so it should be a no brainer. Four points knocked off for that major gaffe. Other wise it is your standard fair for DD5.1 video games. Maybe I am mistaken about the rears....would like someone else's opinion here.
Display (7.5 out of 10): Okay when you watch the first cut scene's and you have played Far Cry 2, you are going to be thinking the same thing. It LOOKS like FC2! But on a more sharper scale. But damn I could have sworn that I drove down that road in Far Cry. I actually think it is above par than other games. Everything looks real sharp, no blatant jaggies, character faces are nice and smooth. BUT it get dropped 2.5 points for not having FULL screen Co-op. If you and a buddy are playing at your house, and you want to kill some zombies, well you will see some black bars on the sides of your horizontal presentation. Now I have a 63 inch Sammy, so you did get used to it, but people with much smaller screens are going to be severely disappointed. (FYI- Xbox Live Co-op is obviously full screen.)
Overall: I would give it a solid 8 out of ten....maybe 8.25. The audio and split screen presentation bring this down for me. BUT I really think this is a game that can be played more than once. I found it very fun, and something a little different. There is also plenty of Health and Bullets around so you never run out, you feel the pressure of being low on bullets, but you never run out, and when you find some you are giving a big sigh of relief that you can move on. Not like in previous games where you were constantly struggling on finding ammo. Capcom did a fair to good job overall, I think it could have been way better with some minor tweaks.

i got it for the PS3, not really thrilled with the stop to shoot concept. Played it for about 1/2 hour and was not that into it, maybe thats because all i was thinking about was the last stage of Killzone that i have been playing for the last 2 days to no avail.
Anyway im sure after that it will get more game time -
Despite by better judgement, I rented it for the 360.
