I have the 2xPolk SR124dvc + 08 Kicker zx1000.1 amp. ive had it for a while now and for some reason i'm not feeling the bass i should be gettin out of it. My friend has the same setup and his sounds better and clear. I'm just wondering what the issues may be. Can it be that since its running on 4ohms its not putting out enough power or the box is also a little weak...not shure if that could be the case. It also seems as if i can hear the subs inside the box for sum reason thumping but my gains and other controls are all a little under half. So any suggestions...?

4 ohms? A pair of DVC subs hooked up to a single amp should be a 1 ohm load. If youve got each of them wired in series then parallel to the amp that would be a 4 ohm load which would be 250 watts to each sub which isnt even close to being enough power for a SR12.

For that setup you need an amp that is stable down to 1 ohm and will make around 1500 watts at 1 ohm.

I'm not sure...it doesn't say it on any of the sites.
