Why? Would you like to sell these as well? Or do you already?

No need for name calling.....as you would say,he just asked a question, right?

Look, lots of people come here to try and sell stuff by starting these kinds of threads,so maybe his question is relevent. The person you happen to call a "moron" is a well respected member here, and you will find that most respected members have little tolerence for these types of threads. Now maybe if you said you heard these speakers and are thinking of buying them,or a buddy has some and you really like them.....your response might be different. We are allways glad to help new members, but save the dribble for the other forums you may visit.

Dosent matter how long or how many posts you have, nobody on here "owns" this forum, a lot of stuff gets talked about on here that has nothing to do with Polk...give me a break.

I am very familiar with Pure Acoustics. I have a full set of surround QX900 speakers. Front towers, surrounds, and center. I'm not using them as I found my Polks to be better sounding. I do use two of their subs in my HT system...both RB-1150's. I find the speakers I have to be very good entry level home theater speakers. Much better than home theater in a box but not as good as my Polk surround system. The subs work great for HT. I purchased them all from Source by Circuit City up here in Canada a few years ago. The Source has stopped carrying the entire line. I bought them for a bargain and found them to be a very good introduction into home theater speakers. Hope this helps.

I'm with you Knucklehead. There is the occasional unwarranted pissy post that comes your way on this site. Let it roll off.

Because we have no face-to-face relations and are in a virtual community. Reps are essentially dependent on Polk 'age' and post number. That's OK. But in many cases, and I assume this may be true of you...some of us are almost twice the age in real years of some of our Gurus. And that makes for some unbelievably awkward exchanges.

Remain cool, disregard 'ego' and remember even the best of us may have had a spat with our wives or kids, and whack someone on this site for no reason. It's like a family that can be dysfunctional at times, but not always.

    1. I never heard of Pure Accoustics. Logged on to thier website - they have quite a line-up, but no list prices shown. Googled it and got nada. Is this a new Euro cpmpany?

    2. Polk is a good forum, especially if you own Polk speakers, but it is not the best audio forum.

    3. IMO, if somone has something personal and/or nasty to post they should do it via private Message; not on the open Forum.

A year ago I would have read this and heard a friend sticking up for another friend.

This year, being in a similar situation but with my wife about one and a half months further along then Tom's, I know the truth.

    Godspeed Tom, godspeed.
