I have found a person who has some pretty good deals on a Grant Fidelity A-34 Integrated tube amplifier. Does anyone here have any experience with this amp? If so what do you think about it? I am thinking about getting this to use in a two channel set-up with some SDAs, a phonograph, and a good quality CD player (maybe SACD). How do you think this would match with SDAs? The seller rants and raves about this amp, but he is trying to sell it. I would like to here Club Polk Members' opinions on it. Thanks in advance for your response.

That's weird....I wrote a response to you and it appears to have been deleted. Mostly I was suggesting too be very careful to know what you are buying; where it was built; and if it has proper safety certification.

Thank you for the responses gentlemen. I haven't heard much about this company myself, so I figured I needed to difer this to the experts. BTW, I found out is actually an A-348 integrated tube amp. I have bought some nice amps from the seller in the past. He is an advid audiohaulic and often has some nice Usher, Logan Martin, and other hi end speakers for sale along with a lot of nice amps and preamps. He claims this has a rich, warm sound, and is "holographic" with a wonderfully wide sound stage. He deals with a lot of high end stuff, so I usually trust his judgement, but then again he is trying to sell the stuff so you never know.

Ted, we definitely need to get together. I haven't forgot about you, things have just been crazy here at the ol' Brunswick Wood Preserving Superfund Site. Lot's of 12 to 13 hr days, 6 days a week. I would definitely like to meet up with you though. I'm glad to know I have somebody with such a wealth of knowledge in the area. I'll give you a call here later in the week.
