Just finally got around to ordering new tweets and mids for my 2'bs. Looking very forward to getting them in.

How has everyone found the "New" ones sonically compared to the OE ones??

    Welcome aboard Dale,

There are hundreds of posts around here about the benefits of upgrading the OE SL2000 to RDO194-1's, or even going all out and modding your crossovers so you can take advantage of the even smoother RDO198-1.

This might shed some light on what you can accomplish, and what to expect . . .

    Thanks for the welcome!

I've actually been around for some time now. Just a new email addy and password needed, therefore I'm now a newbie.

It's been awhile since I had a soldering iron in hand so for now, I'll stick with the drivers.

    How do they compare sonically?

I replaced all my drivers on my 2Bs and was not too happy at first. They didnt sound too good but after the 100hr break in period they sounded better than before. In fact they sounded awsome.I have not upgraded to the RDO194s because after I move and get settled in I will send the xovers to ben to recap and I hope he can do the TL upgrade as well so I can use the RDO198s..I modded my IC interconnect so I hope the TL upgrade is still an option

Replaced the 2000's with the 194's last year. A subtle difference was noticed at first...after tweeter break in(and some will argue human break in) I am comfortable with them. I'm hoping to upgrade the crossovers later this year and do some of the other tweaks mentioned.
One of the best things I did was move the 2b's into my game room which is much bigger and now they sit further away from rear and sidewalls...much nicer!
Yep, my name really is Bob.

Excellent point muncybob. Sometimes we get so caught up in the electronics we miss the most significant tweaks of all. I know some just don't have the option or flexibility to simply move stuff, room treatments, etc. but they typically turn out the be the best tweak of all (and the least expensive).

Room placement is huge with the SDA's.

When I first got mine new way back when I was in a room that was 32 by 17.
They were set up across the 17ft wall and they were just outrageous! So close to having sourround sound because the entire wall and beyond was playing to me. All that, without being phony in any way.

Now they are in a 32 by16ft room and I lost the amazing soundstage. Still nice, but not the quite the same.

    From Wiki:

"Do not feed the trolls" and its abbreviation DNFTT redirect here. For the Wikipedia essay, see "What is a troll?". For other uses see Troll (disambiguation).

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2]
