This is probably a price mistake so hurry if you want it.

http://www.amazon.com/Pinocchio-Anniversary-Platinum-Standard-Blu-ray/dp/B001ILFUDM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1236793881&sr=1-1

go to the best value section it list both titles for 10$ off... i did this and it actually took 10$ off each title!

Ripped from fatwallet. I ordered and verified the price is only $26.98, with free super saver shipping. It should show $26.98 as the total before you hit submit. They will probably catch this and fix it soon.

The deal was $26.98 for both Blu-Rays . My order made it through, but they ended up charging me $10 more. A quick email (authorized payment on the order was only for the $26.98) cleared it up and they're refunding me the $10.

Ahhhhh ok, i misunderstood, i apologize..

Does any of your pinocchio has vertical black bars ? I asked because on my 58" panny i had vertical black bars. I was little disappointed finding out about this. I assumed it would be like sleeping beauty's ratio.

No...I've been following the tracking and it seems to be stuck in Dallas (USPS). It got scanned there twice (Sun and Mon), so it should be here soon (Houston area), but there's no firm delivery date...

Got an email from Amazon saying my shipment was delayed because of low stock on Sleeping Beauty. Originally they estimated a ship date of March 18. The new estimated arrival date was 4/07-23 :(

Sucks because I really wanted Pinocchio by Tuesday for a birthday present. The original estimate was fine for delivery by then with the free shipping option. So I fired off an email to Amazon asking if they could go ahead and ship Pinocchio without waiting for SB to come back in stock. They obliged and even upgraded me to standard shipping so that I would receive Pinocchio on Tuesday.

Amazon is alright in my book. :)

thats sucks, you will be pleased how neat it is on blu-ray. Good colors improvement and im impressed. too bad its like 4.3 ratio, understadable for 70 years old cartoon

I think it's been addressed, but I said I'd let you know when I got it :): Pinocchio is 4:3, though you can have paintings take the place of black bars on the sides.

Thanks for the data point. I ordered early enough on the 11th to get in on the deal, however, I just received them yesterday (26th!).

I think I must have been pushed down to an extremely low priority queue because of the pricing mistake I got. It took multiple emails to Amazon to get them to eventually ship them. Both Blu-Rays have been "In Stock" since early last week, however, my order just sat there in purgatory. They did eventually ship and even bumped me up to Overnight shipping mainly because I complained about the fact that these were intended to be birthday presents I needed on the 24th. I finally got them on the 26th :( However, I'm not really that upset considering it I paid $26 and change for both shipped.

Just finished up Pinocchio this morning. The paintings on the side (can't remember what it's called) were surprisingly nice and didn't distract too much from the movie. Movie looked and sounded pretty good, too, especially for a 70 year old ()movie!
